The Cost Considerations Tool is an Excel-based resource that helps stakeholders consider the full range of activities and cost considerations involved in collecting, aggregating, and sharing food and nutrition data across surveys, administrative systems, and multisectoral data systems. Organized around the six elements of the nutrition data value chain, the tool presents guiding questions linked to common monetary cost drivers and non-monetary considerations. It does not generate cost estimates, but instead supports informed planning and budgeting for investments to strengthen food and nutrition data systems.
