This brief presents an overview of formative research conducted in Bangladesh and Ethiopia to revise household survey questions for coverage of fortified foods included in the 2013 GAIN FACT Toolkit. It shares key findings from Bangladesh about the ability of survey respondents to report on key product characteristics including the place of procurement, type, packaging and brand. Finally, it presents a set of recommended indicators and questions for inclusion in multi-topic household surveys.
